Gaigai is an all-in-one app for self-guided travelers to explore the underlying culture of the city. Given that "gai gai" is a malaysian slang term that refers to going for leisurely walk, we want to encourage tourists and locals to explore around the cultural spots in KL for the best travel experience. Through this app, we hope to showcase KL as an attractive cultural melting pot that is filled with stories to be told.

The Problem

Although Kuala Lumpur is developing into a better city, urban gentrification has gradually destroyed the city’s culture and communities. Most people travel to the popular, commercial spots in KL while some even think that the city is boring.

Our Goal

Given that "gai gai" is a malaysian slang term that refers to going for leisurely walk, we want to encourage tourists and locals to explore around the cultural spots in KL for the best travel experience. Through this app, we hope to showcase KL as an attractive cultural melting pot that is filled with stories to be told.
